West Kelowna Yoga Instructor

Crystal Bruce

Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Yoga has been a part of Crystal's life since 2010 when I found Yin. It was a lifesaver for her. She really enjoys getting down to what's going on at a physiological level as you will find out. She also teaches a sweet Vinyasa that often lends itself to the power spectrum but fear not!

She can teach a pretty chill Vinyasa too depending on the energy in the room. All levels are accommodated. She has been into fitness and weight training since she was 18. She has competed and placed top 3 in multiple bodybuilding shows.

Crystal's background in fitness as a PT is with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and she uses the Integrated training Model in workout design. This is a concept that combines all forms of exercise in to one system, inclusive of Flexibility, cardiorespiratory, core, balance, Plyometric, speed agility and quickness and resistance training and the clients choice. This all inclusive approach to exercise leads to improvements in overall health and wellness as well as athletic performance.

West Kelowna Yoga Instructor

Julia Millar

Wellness Practitioner

I was an addict and alcoholic for 15 years. By the grace of my higher power, guidance, love and

support I am now 4 years recovered.

Throughout my journey I found myself struggling to stay clean and sober until I found Holistic

Healing Modalities. This opened a door, which allowed me to heal internally and externally

through a variety of different cultures and techniques.

My higher power wasn’t always present in my life, this was something that took time, to learn my

own understanding, and who/what spirituality meant to me.

My internal healing started with loving and caring for my body, this involved self care, nutrition &

supplement’s, love, gratitude, patience, acceptance, coaching, and letting go of all the things that no longer served me. #Daily

Reiki, along with other spiritual healing modalities gave me a sense of belonging, I met others at

events who were also in recovery, seeing huge improvements and for the first time I felt at home

when I walked into a room.

Holistic Recovery Coaching was created for the addict who wanted out but hasn’t been able to

find a way. It involves guidance, love, support, compassion, trust, and a sense of belonging. All

the piece that were missing for me to succeed with my own recovery. Alone we are strong,

Together we are warriors!

Hayley Paynter

Yoga Instructor

I have had the pleasure of teaching for the last 13 years. My passion is people, and body movement and breath. The magic happens when you move that body freely, without apprehension, and breathe along the way."

"Yoga came to me back in 2006. I was young and working in mental health and really needed some time for myself to connect to the inside and have some stillness in my mind.

I immediately thought everyone in the yoga studio was crazy for doing such an intense hot practice.

It was so challenging and grueling, I didn’t think I would even make it out of the room…but I did, and I learned that I could do anything!

Fast forward to two years later and I was boarding a plane to go to Acapulco for three months to learn how to instruct.

I have had the pleasure of teaching for the last 13 years. My passion is people, and body movement and breath. The magic happens when you move that body freely, without apprehension and breathe along the way."

West Kelowna Yoga Instructor

Josee Kreese

Yoga Instructor

Josee began her yoga journey about 8 years ago when she was a dancer, and only knew yoga for the physical practice (the asanas).

In 2015 she was in a car accident and was not longer able to dance liked she used to, and had to be gentle with herself and the movements she would make. That is when she discovered her personal yoga practice - the gentleness of the practice and the focus on herself and her breath allowed her body to do exactly what it needed in her healing journey.

In 2018 she began my Yoga Teacher Training in Kelowna BC. The history, philosophy, and principles of practice she learned throughout my training aided her in deepening her own practice and made her realize that she wanted to share her passion with others. In 2020 she began her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in order to deepen her personal knowledge and bring more of the history and philosophy of yoga into her teaching.

She has a background in psychology, and is a current Masters of Social Work Student, and an advocate for mental health. With an in depth understanding of the connection between mind, body, and soul, she offers a relevant and realistic approach in her teaching, guiding and giving her students all the tools they need in order to deepen their own practice.

She truly believes that there is something in this practice for everyone and her intention is to provide support and guidance in finding it. Each class offering she shares is created with overall wellness in mind. She is passionate about sharing this practice with others and supporting students in their wellness journeys both on and off the mat.
